Roselyn had been living in a small bamboo hut with no electricity. She was skinny from constant hunger, frequently sick, with sores on her skin, and lice in her hair.

She had no hope of going to school or escaping the heartbreaking cycle of poverty. She often had to go without meals for days at a time. She needed a sponsor - someone who cared.
